About The Position

Central Transport is a technologically advanced Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier with a nationwide network. This position is for a Road Driver Associate Trainee, specifically for new CDL graduates, focusing on dedicated home daily routes. The role involves hauling freight to terminals and meet points within the network and is a combination of driving and dock work, primarily on an overnight shift.

Requirements

Must be a recent Graduate from an accredited Tractor Trailer Driving School
Certificate of completion
Transcripts
Letter of Recommendation from Driving school
DOT physical Long form- 5 pages
Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including forklifts and other machinery
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
Ability to handle various types of cargo, including freight and hazardous materials
Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Responsibilities

Operate and drive various types of vehicles, including but not limited to: dry vans and forklifts
Safely transport goods and materials to designated locations
Follow assigned routes and schedules for efficient delivery
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
