About The Position

RNG Plant Operator will play a critical role in the operation and maintenance of our Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facility, ensuring efficient and safe processing of organic materials into renewable energy.  This position will work closely with the operations team to monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and maintain equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a plant or industrial setting, preferably in RNG, biogas, or similar industries.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and practices related to electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call and overtime as needed.
• Strong knowledge of electrical theory, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and instrumentation schematics.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights and holidays, as needed.
• Valid Class C driver’s license
• Safe driving record for the past three years

Nice To Haves

• Additional technical training or certification in process operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Operate and monitor RNG production equipment, blowers, coolers, filtration media, compressors, membranes, and purification systems.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Adjust process parameters and respond to system alarms to maintain production levels and product quality.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, documenting maintenance activities and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to implement process improvements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment performance, and safety inspections.
• Assist in training new operators and support a culture of safety and teamwork.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
