About The Position

The position involves the operation and maintenance of a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) plant, which includes gas compression, gas processing, and filtration equipment. The role requires compliance with all workplace, federal, state, and OSHA safety guidelines. Responsibilities include performing regular inspections and maintenance of fixed plant equipment, such as rotating gas compressors, H2S gas scrubbers, CO2 membranes, N2 removal PSA, and auxiliary equipment like pumps, chillers, and valves. Administrative duties involve documenting and reporting on equipment maintenance, operation, and condition. The role also includes fault-finding, repairs, and reporting on gas, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as operating advanced instrumentation and process control systems. The candidate must be available for on-call duties within 45 minutes of the RNG plant and perform various tasks including readings, tuning, pump operation, maintenance, and routine housekeeping duties. The position requires interfacing with well field operations and the local natural gas utility, along with other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • Current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call hours.
  • Maintenance, gas, mechanical or electrical experience and/or suitable background.
  • Basic computer operation including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to collect and interpret data and write clear, accurate reports.
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Experience with gas or refrigeration equipment.
  • Experience with LFG extraction and use systems and equipment.
  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform minor repairs and overhaul mechanical & electrical equipment.
  • Familiarity with instrumentation and process control equipment and systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously in a multi-skilled work environment.
  • Proficient in using computers, instrumentation, metering, and monitoring equipment.
  • Advanced electrical skills with the ability to fault find and carry out preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
  • Advanced mechanical skills with the ability to fault find and carry out preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, ladder logic, and troubleshooting and programming of these systems.

Responsibilities
