About The Position
BLS ACLS NRP Inter. FHM CA License IV Insertion STABLE LDR- 7, Mother/baby- 8; 50-60 births per month, Family Birth Center. N:P ratio labor 1: 1-2, Couplet 1:3 Family Birth Center Level I facility- term pregnancy and delivery, postpartum and newborn care, stabilization of the newborn for transport to a higher level of care, occasional gyn patient. Special procedures done on the unit- epidural anesthesia (rate 40%), labor tub, versions, outpatient NSTs, outpatient lactation clinicCommon equipment: Corometrics fetal monitor, Panda Warmer, Braun epidural pump, Alaris IV pumps, Neoblue phototherapy lights, Draeger Jaundice meter, Massimo portable O2 sensors, Phillips cardiac monitors Phillips Intellispace OBTV, Cerner Delivers nursing care according to the standards of care defined within the American Nurses Association (ANA) Standards of Clinical Practice Decisions and actions on behalf of patients are determined in an ethical manner Collaborates with the patient, significant others, and healthcare providers in providing patient care Considers factors relating to safety, and effectiveness
