This Registered Nurse (RN) position is full-time, working 12-hour day shifts (6:00 am - 6:30 pm) for 36 scheduled weekly hours, with every other weekend and holiday rotation required. The role is located at the Sioux Falls Village, which is the largest long-term care facility in South Dakota, offering multiple services including general long-term care, short-stay rehab, and a memory care unit. The vision at Sioux Falls Village is to lovingly provide quality, dependable care at just the right time. The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to residents. They will collaborate with residents, families, and other inter-disciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement and evaluate care. The position involves demonstrating competency and practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, utilizing appropriate age and population specific standards. The RN cares for residents in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment, and is responsible for coordination of care, resident assessment, and resident education. They may also serve as a charge nurse, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel while ensuring safe care delivery. The role functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in the state of practice and licensure, adhering to the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published by the American Nurses Association.
