Requirements

• PALS
• BLS
• 2+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
• Two years of Pediatric Critical Care Experience Required
• Congenital Heart Surgery Experience required
• ACTIVE TX RN LICENSE – temp license will NOT be accepted
• Two years of management of pediatric critical care patients in high acuity setting.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the following:
• Critical Care Management of: Disease processes (respiratory illnesses, sepsis, DKA)
• Pressure lines (primarily CVPs, arterial lines, some UAC/UVC)
• Ventilated patients (HFOV, VDR, Servo)
• Drips (epi, nor-epi, milrinone, dopamine, precedex, )
• Complex trauma patients (EVDs, Codmans, neuro assessments)
• Complex pediatric postop patients (congenital anomalies/craniofacial, tracheostomies, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Foley insertions
• Trans-pyloric feeding tubes
• Dressing changes (wound and CVL)
• Port access
