About The Position
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN), you'll provide comprehensive nursing services for unstable patients of all ages who require continuous surveillance. You'll use your critical thinking, technical skills, and a holistic approach to deliver purposeful and effective care during life-threatening events. Your strong interpersonal skills will also be vital in managing crises and supporting patients and their families.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current NYS RN license.
- One and a half years of medical-surgical nursing experience or similar acute care background.
- Demonstrated knowledge of growth and development across the life span, with the ability to use that knowledge to individualize care plans and delivery.
- Successful completion of the CHMC Chemotherapy course within 1 year of hire.
- Successful completion of PMCS within 6 months of position start date.
- Successful completion of an approved critical care course and ACLS within one year of position start date.
Nice To Haves
- Prior nursing experience in an intensive care setting is preferred.
