About The Position

- The Registered Nurse (RN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care, while adhering to established protocols and standards. This role is crucial in promoting patient recovery and well-being, particularly during the first shift.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
Minimum of 6 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting
Proven experience in managing patient care and treatment plans
Experience in shift work, with the ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Strong understanding of psychiatric and behavioral health care practices
Excellent patient assessment and diagnostic skills
Ability to develop and implement effective care plans
Proficient in electronic medical records and healthcare technology systems
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental health needs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments accurately and in accordance with prescribed protocols.
Monitor and document patients' progress and response to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education to enhance professional development and improve patient care.
Adhere to all regulatory and organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Act as a resource and mentor for less experienced nursing staff and students.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
