About The Position

AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) to support OB/GYN outpatient care at NMCP. RNs will assist with scheduled visits, procedures, and follow-ups involving prenatal care, family planning, contraception, and gynecological health. The RN plays a key role in patient flow, education, and communication between the physician and patient, supporting high-quality care in a structured clinic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Graduate from an institution accredited by NLNAC or CCNE
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  • At least one year of recent RN experience in OB/GYN outpatient, prenatal, or gynecological care settings
  • Active, unrestricted RN license in any U.S. state or territory
  • Proficiency in women’s health and OB/GYN outpatient nursing procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills
  • Comfortable with sensitive patient topics and discussions
  • Strong EHR documentation skills (e.g., MHS Genesis)
  • Detail-oriented with strong clinical judgment
  • Must be vaccinated for MMR, Varicella, Hep B, TDAP, Influenza
  • TB screening required
  • NAVMED 6260/91 or DHA equivalent form must be completed
  • Background investigation and credentialing required
  • Onboarding process may take up to 90 days

  • Women’s Health or OB/GYN-related certifications – Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver nursing services as authorized by clinical privileges and state scope of practice
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and healthcare staff
  • Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records
  • Ensure compliance with clinic policies, infection control, and safety procedures
  • Support clinical tasks and staff training where needed
  • Conduct initial assessments, obtain vitals, and document patient history
  • Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures (e.g., pap smears, biopsies)
  • Provide prenatal and gynecological education to patients
  • Administer medications and injections as prescribed
  • Collect lab samples and ensure proper documentation
  • Follow up on test results and communicate care plans
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and support continuity of care
  • Provide patient counseling and education on contraception, prenatal care, or recovery
  • Float to other OB/GYN clinics when necessary
