Requirements

  • Passion for Cardiology
  • New Grads are welcome
  • 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
  • Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
