A “Registered Nurse” is a person who holds a valid Indiana license, and who bears primary responsibility and accountability for nursing practices based on specialized knowledge, judgment, and skill derived from the principles of biological, physical, and behavioral sciences. The patient population in the Critical Care Unit consists of individuals with life-threatening conditions and complex medical needs, including but not limited to respiratory failure, sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, traumatic injuries, neurological disorders, and post-operative complications. These patients require continuous monitoring, advanced life support interventions, and a multidisciplinary approach to ensure optimal outcomes and recovery.
