About The Position

- The Registered Nurse (RN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients within a behavioral health setting. The RN will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the physical and mental well-being of patients, focusing on providing compassionate and effective care during Shift 1.

Requirements

  • - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution or an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with relevant experience.
  • - Minimum of 0-3 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric care.
  • - Experience working with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • - Strong understanding of mental health disorders and treatment protocols.
  • - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • - Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • - Proficiency in electronic health record systems and other healthcare technologies.
  • - Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and prioritizing patient safety.
  • - Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, with a commitment to improving patient outcomes.
  • - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing situations and environments.

Responsibilities

  • - Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
  • - Monitor and document patient progress, communicating effectively with the healthcare team to adjust care plans as necessary.
  • - Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication management, and health maintenance.
  • - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity and quality of services provided.
  • - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • - Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • - Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, utilizing critical thinking and clinical skills to stabilize patients and prevent further complications.
