About The Position
Services provided for patients with medical and cardiac diagnoses, acute exacerbation of a cardiac condition. In addition, 3-South will provide care for peripheral vascular interventions (radial or femoral) and cardiac catheterization patient PCI via radial and femoral approach Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Job Description: RN-3-South-Full-Time Assessment of patients’ needs. Development of patient care plan/s Provision of direct care. Management of patient care delivery. Demonstrate leadership skills. Support for quality care. Customer relations and healing environment. On call requirement weekends/holidays picked by rotation. Operating Room Nurses provide care and support to patients before, during and after surgery. Clinical decision-making incorporates all four phases of the nursing process, critical thinking and creativity. Must possess ability to supervise and delegate appropriate work to Patient Care Techs, Licensed Practical Nurses, Unit Secretaries, and Students.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse: Current RN licensure and work permit in Kentucky.
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
- Basic Life Support is required.
- New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation.
- Glucometer Training
- ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of assignment
