The Emergency Department is a 28-bed level III, emergency department, established to provide care for individuals with acute medical or surgical illnesses or injuries for which immediate medical attention is required or desired. Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical, and social sciences in the application of the nursing process. Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards. Must possess the ability to supervise LPNs, CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students. All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives.
