About The Position
Registered Nurse for Long Term Care We are looking for caring, full-time, part-time, or PRN, second-shift registered nurses who are passionate about providing compassionate, high-quality nursing care to some of the world's wisest people. For the residents they look after, these nurses become an essential part of their lives. It requires a combination of technical expertise and interpersonal skills to be an RN at Pleasantview. Love trusts God always and keeps going to the end. About Us: Pleasantview is a Five-Star facility that welcomed its first residents in 1958. We are a faith-based, not-for-profit, small-town, caring community. Our recently remodeled buildings house 50 skilled nursing beds, 16 dementia care rooms, and 28 assisted living suites. The community also includes 57 independent living units.
Requirements
- Exhibit strong clinical skills
- Demonstrate excellent bedside manner
- Collaborate well with CNAs, other nurses, doctors, and administrators
- Must be an RN—new graduates are welcome
- Active Iowa licensure
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assess patient health conditions, monitor vitals, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Create and implement patient care plans.
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop optimal treatment plans.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and family members.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following infection control protocols.
- Coordinating the work of Certified Nursing Assistants.
