About the position

This position involves coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create and evaluate customized care plans for patients. The role requires maintaining reports of patients' medical histories and monitoring changes in their conditions. The individual will carry out requisite treatments and medications, change patients' medication as indicated by their conditions and responses, and maintain a hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with healthcare procedures. Additionally, the position involves providing instant care during medical emergencies, discussing treatment with pharmacists and physicians in critical cases, and providing necessary guidance on health maintenance and disease prevention. The individual will also prepare patients for examinations, educate patients' families about diseases and their treatments, assist doctors during surgery, and attend educational workshops to enhance professional and technical knowledge. Performing lab work and providing complete information to the physician about the patient's condition during anesthesia is also part of the job. The role may include recommending drugs and other forms of treatment, such as inhalation therapy and physical therapy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associates in Nursing, or has graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Current certification/license in the State of Missouri.
  • Class B Basic Life Support (CPR) within 90 days of employment and renewed biannually.

Nice-to-haves

  • One year of general or Skilled Nursing preferred.
