About The Position

I. Position Summary: Primarily responsible for providing professional nursing care within the assigned unit. Coordinates plan of care with the patient, their family, and the interdisciplinary team. Ensures appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Responsible for carrying out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Houston Healthcare. II. Qualifications: Education & Training: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Experience: Individuals (to include new grads and experienced) with no prior ICU experience, would be required to complete the Fellowship. Individuals with less than 1 year of ICU experience, may be exempt from the Fellowship requirement. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current US state RN license with authorization to practice in the state of GA. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification or obtained within nine (9) months of hire. Completion of the Rhythm Interpretation Course CLEP test or classroom course or obtained within 3 months. CPT training within 9 months of hire. Must obtain and maintain required ortho education/training as mandated in the Houston Healthcare Joint Destination Center of Excellence Policy. Must complete and maintain required stroke education/training as mandated in the “HHC Primary Stroke Center / Acute Stroke Ready Designation” policy.
