About The Position

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or equivalent education for licensing.
• Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of work location (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin).
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or equivalent (NRP, PALS) from recognized organizations.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze health data to develop individualized care plans for women and newborns.
• Coordinate care delivery to promote woman-, newborn-, and family-centered care.
• Evaluate progress toward expected outcomes in care delivery.
• Make ethical decisions on behalf of women, fetuses, and newborns.
• Communicate and collaborate with women, families, and healthcare providers.
• Serve as a role model and mentor to healthcare consumers and professionals.
• Integrate evidence-based practices into nursing care for women and newborns.
• Evaluate nursing practice against professional standards and guidelines.
• Plan and deliver care considering safety, effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility.
• Practice in a safe and healthy manner when delivering care.
