Schedule: 7A-7P or 7P-7A with rotating weekends as needed The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse, the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The RN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies, procedures and standards. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care to assigned patients in the Float Division: Women and Infants (FD). The Float Divisions are units with no physical boundaries, but still maintain the integrity of each specialized team. The Women and Infants FD nurses have the opportunity to work in Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, the Ante-partum and Post-partum units. The Float Division nurses use all their nursing assessment and clinical skills to meet new patients, families, and staff on a daily basis. To prepare these Float Division nurses to work in these specialty areas, a variety of courses are offered including Cardiac Dysrhythmia, Chemotherapy, and any of the Critical Care courses. Clinical orientation focuses on the nurse’s needs and strengths as they are partnered with a preceptor to maximize their orientation experience. All Float Division nurses receive a bonus of 25% for regular, worked hours floating to the different areas. The Float pool team is a dynamic group of staff who meet the challenge and flexibility of a new assignment every day.
