As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will quickly enhance your skillet caring for diverse populations of patients with varying medical/surgical needs and be a part of a multidisciplinary team. This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule. A caregiver in this position works weekends + 1 day/night from 7:00 a.m. -- 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of hire
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experienc

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
- Educate patients and their families.
