Medina Hospital’s 2 East unit is a 15-bed nursing unit providing professional care to post-surgical orthopedic and spine patients and is fully equipped to provide care for stable telemetry patients requiring ongoing cardiac monitoring. The unit delivers care to adult and geriatric patients in a manner that accounts for their age and developmental needs, with age-specific competencies required and completed annually. In addition to patients undergoing total joint replacement, the unit manages care for individuals requiring revisions, as well as lumbar and/or cervical decompressions, fusions, and laminectomies. As an RN on this unit, you will quickly enhance your skillet caring for diverse populations of patients with varying medical/surgical needs and be a part of a multidisciplinary team. This RN position is part of Cleveland Clinic’s Weekender Flex Program and will require you to work two 12-hour shifts per weekend and one 12-hour shift during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00pm on Fridays and end at 7:30am on Mondays. While you are only working 36 hours a week, Cleveland Clinic will pay you for 44 hours of work and give you full-time status and benefits. This schedule allows caregivers to enjoy personal time during the week with family and friends and take care of any errands that will not interfere with a typical day shift schedule. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. -- 7:30 a.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- One year of current acute care RN experience OR military RN experience

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care.
