About The Position

Description $10,000 Hiring Bonus! We are seeking RNs to join our compassionate team in our inpatient Pediatric Complex Medical program, where we provide around-the-clock care in a warm, family-centered environment. We support infants through age 14 who are unable to live at home due to complex medical needs, helping each child thrive in a safe, caring setting. To learn more: Nursing at ChildServe - ChildServe Schedule/Benefits Weekend package position, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6 pm-6:30 am Benefit eligible, including medical, dental, vision plans, retirement with company match, and generous PTO accrual, including 16 hours of PTO front-loaded

Requirements

Current valid license as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
Active BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
Ability to communicate effectively in (or through) reading, writing and speaking the English language.

Responsibilities

Within the nursing scope of practice, physician’s orders, and the care plan, make decisions and deliver a full range of nursing care based on the fundamentals of the nursing process.
Maintain accurate, completed, and timely records as defined by nursing standards of practice and ChildServe policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively, respectfully, and professionally with residents, physicians, families, school personnel, ChildServe staff, and others to assure assigned child’s care needs are assessed, communicated, and met.
Provide training to patients, families, and staff as needed to help advance the skills and knowledge of all people associated with a child’s care delivery.
Demonstrate good stewardship of ChildServe equipment, supplies, and environment.
