About The Position

The RN - Week Day - Med/Surg/Peds is responsible to plan, direct and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with established philosophy, policies, and procedures. Relates with other shifts, departments, and personnel. Participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, upgrading of policies, procedures, and skills.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Completion nursing education program.
• Demonstrates excellence in customer service and professional conduct.
• Possesses good communication skills.
• Interacts appropriately and positively with peers, patients, families, physicians, and professionals.
• Maintains professionalism in the community, protects the confidentiality of the patient and serves as a patient advocate at all times.
• Ability to learn and adapt.
• Demonstrates clinical competence.
• Demonstrates ability to direct others and delegate appropriately.
• Current Michigan license.
• BCLS within 30 days of hire.
• Achieves 80% or better on medication test.
• Employee may not at any time have been or be excluded from participation in any federally funded program, including Medicare and Medicaid. This is a condition of employment. Employee must immediately notify his/her manager or the Health System's Compliance Officer if he/she is threatened with exclusion or becomes excluded from any federally funded program .
