About The Position

The Iowa Clinic Urgent Care is seeking an RN to join our Ankeny team every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) 0730-1530! Our department offers a full suite of X Ray, lab services, and IV therapy. Requirements

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Iowa.
• Phlebotomy and IV experience required.
• A positive and team-oriented attitude.
• Exceptional patient skills.
• Willingness to provide high-quality patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting.
• Knowledge of nursing techniques, procedures, medical diagnoses and treatments.
• The ability to prepare and maintain records.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to assist physicians in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing services for patients of assigned physician(s) following established nursing practice standards and medical office hospital procedures.
• Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients' care needs in a high-volume and very fast-paced environment.
• Assists provider(s) with patient triage, identifies nursing diagnoses or problem lists, and formulates an initial plan of care based on assessment data.
• Spend enough time with your patients to listen to them and get to know them.
• Participate in a department potluck or team-building activity over lunch.
• Visit The Iowa Clinic intranet to see what volunteer opportunities are available to you this month and read what is happening around the clinic.
• Return patient calls and ensure all patients feel valued and cared for.
