Requirements

• RN licensure with the MN Board of Nursing
• Current CPR certification
• Desire to work with the elderly and those in transition
• Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations

Responsibilities

• Monitoring resident needs, condition and care
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
• Ordering and receiving medications from the pharmacy
• Admitting and discharging residents
• Overseeing TMA/NAR staff
• Reporting changes of condition to RN/Supervisor and physician as delegated
• Transcribing and executing physician orders
• Completing documentation as required
• Completing fall reporting
• Reporting any bruises, skin tears and abuse/neglect
• Giving report to nursing staff
• Following and upholding Resident Bill of Rights and facility policies and procedures
• Maintaining confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements
• Providing excellent customer service and communication to all residents, families, visitors, MDs, and coworkers
