Administers direct care as necessary, including medication administration, treatments, ADL care. Leads admissions, discharges, and transfers to/from the facility. Leads daily clinical huddles with floor staff. Assigns CNA staff to shift assignments. Assists nursing personnel in clinical documentation as indicated. Assist with pharmacy recommendations. Ensure all staff take their breaks, covering as indicated. Assists Director of Nursing in delegated tasks as needed. Attend IDT meetings and care conferences as indicated. Maintain medication dispensing machine and medication room duties. Assumes floor nurse duties in case of nursing staff shortages, coverages, or other needs. Assists the nursing personnel with reducing overtime. Assists with state and federal regulatory survey preparedness. Gives and receives shift reports. Rounds throughout shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment. Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ condition. Assists in developing comprehensive care plans. QUALIFICATIONS RN with an active and unobstructed California Registered Nurse license. At least 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care setting preferred. Charge nurse / supervisory experience preferred BLS CPR certification required Wound certified (or willingness to obtain wound certification) preferred Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Ability to work independently and as part of a team If you're an enthusiastic, compassionate, senior care professional who is passionate about hospitality and senior engagement- please apply, we'd love to get to know you!
