About The Position
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager for a 14-week contract opportunity at a skilled nursing/long-term care facility in Orono, ME.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Maine or Compact State (Required)
- Minimum 2–3 years of nursing experience (Required)
- Current BLS certification (Required)
- Strong communication, organization, and conflict-resolution skills
Nice To Haves
- Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Unit Manager)
- Experience in SNF or LTC settings
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day oversight of the assigned unit
- Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs to ensure quality care delivery
- Oversee admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Conduct resident rounds and ensure care plans are current and followed
- Serve as the primary clinical contact for physicians, residents, and families
- Audit documentation for accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Manage staffing schedules and daily assignments
- Participate in required on-call rotation
