About The Position

In this role as Unit Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of nursing team to provide patient care. Key to your role is serving as a resource and point person for communication, education, and clarification of policies, procedures, and standards relating to nursing practice and care.

Requirements

Must be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing, with at least 2 years of related experience.
Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License; current CPR-BLS certification.
3+ years of experience in a long-term care facility
Clinical knowledge of long-term care nursing, with ability to anticipate, recognize, and respond to resident needs in a long-term care and rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

Supervise the nursing team including giving direction & assignments, offering training, and contribute to recognition and evaluations.
Conduct regular rounds with patients and staff to monitor performance and care.
Instruct the team regarding the skilled care process and function as a resource person for clinical issues
Ensure the completion of requested reports, i.e., infection control, pharmacy compliance, quality management, etc.
