About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator at Norfolk General Hospital, in Norfolk Virginia. The position requires proficiency in nursing practice for the assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager, the RN Unit Coordinator leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. The role aims to increase staff satisfaction and promote excellent customer service.

Requirements

• 18 months nursing experience required.
• BSN required; Master's degree preferred.
• Virginia RN License required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area.
• Provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
