This is a fast paced, on your feet position with direct patient care. Come join the Children's Urgent Care Clinic team in the fun and fast paced environment. The clinic is open Monday through Friday 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday and Sunday 8 AM to 5 PM. Position would include every 3rd weekend and 2 call shifts every 6 months.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Charge RN
• Rooming and Vitals
• Assisting with Procedures (Sutures/Staples/Splinting/Bracing)
• Medication Administrations
• Patient Transfers
• Rapids Responses
• Making Phone Calls Regarding Results and Further Treatments
• Answers patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of the patient's symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms.
• Guides the patient to the appropriate level of care; schedules patient appointments over the phone with appropriate healthcare providers/facilities/physicians.
• Documents information provided to patients during triage in health record systems; records patients health conditions for follow-up patient care.
• Maintains and develops triage protocols; ensures patients' healthcare information is updated on time.
• Educate patients based on calls that come in.
