Requirements

Active Ohio RN license (unencumbered)
1+ year clinical experience
Strong clinical and independent decision-making skills
BLS/CPR certified
TB clearance
Reliable transportation
Valid driver's license
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient mobility
Up-to-date vaccinations (COVID-19, Flu, Hep B)

Responsibilities

Participate in hands-on Trach & Vent Care Training
Practice proper airway management and ventilator support
Apply infection control and patient safety protocols
Monitor progress and actively engage in learning
Maintain accurate documentation of skills and competencies
Follow clinical guidance to ensure safe care delivery
Communicate effectively with trainers and peers
Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and clinical standards
Provide skilled trach and ventilator care within RN scope of practice
Follow and implement individualized care plans using clinical judgment
Monitor patient condition and report changes to the Director of Nursing
Maintain accurate, timely documentation
Follow agency protocols, safety standards, and HIPAA compliance
Educate patients and families on trach and ventilator care and safety
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
