About The Position

Where You’ll Work Mercy Medical Center Redding offers comprehensive health care to nearly 300,000 residents in a six-county region. It is one of only two Level II trauma centers, the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the only Joint Commission-certified Advanced Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center north of Sacramento north of Sacramento. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities Position Summary: The incumbent is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a patient assignment through therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, and other health care team members. The incumbent, as a member of the health care team appropriately assists team members in providing holistic care to patients and their support systems with an awareness of cost containment and time management. #RN@DH

Requirements

Associate degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
Current California RN license required
One (1) year of recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience required. (If operationally able will consider training opportunities for those with less than one (1) year of acute care experience).
Basic dysrhythmia class required
Verbal and written communication skills and computer skill required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
