Requirements

• Associates in Nursing required.
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years.
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months.
• Specialty certification highly recommended within 2 years.
• 1 year of experience as an RN in the ICU preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a surgical or trauma unit.
• Certification in specialty nursing areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to surgical and trauma patients.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitor patients using portable telemetry monitors as needed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in shared governance to strengthen relationships between staff and leadership.
