Cleveland Clinic’s M81 Surgical Short Stay Unit cares for patients in need of extended recovery or observation following surgeries or procedures. This unit captures a wide variety of specialties, including endocrinology, urology, radiology, general surgery, plastics, colorectal, neurology, orthopaedic, and ophthalmology. M81 caregivers pride themselves on delivering efficient and effective workflow processes to ensure patient discharges are expedited and care is of the highest quality. Because of the variety and complexity of patients cared for, M81 offers caregivers an array of growth and learning opportunities. This unit also has an active unit-based Shared Governance and high caregiver engagement. Our Center for Workplace Violence Prevention and Caregiver Well-Being sets caregiver safety as a priority, identifying, reporting and responding to incidents and providing safety resources. A caregiver in this position works 7:00am to 7:30pm with weekend rotations from 11:00am to 7:30pm.
