About The Position
The position involves utilizing the nursing process to care for patients, ensuring that patient records are maintained accurately and are current. The nurse is responsible for documenting assessments throughout the hospital admission, which includes evaluating physical, psychological, and social dimensions, as well as discharge plans. The nurse will summarize assessment data and initiate a plan of care, communicating pertinent information to allied patient care providers. Proficiency in the role of charge nurse and computerized nursing informatics is essential. The nurse will also act as a resource person for patient care, orientation, and staff teaching. Participation in unit staff meetings, mandatory programs, and obtaining credits for patient care assessment is required. The nurse will assess personal learning needs, maintain documentation of professional development, and stay updated on relevant techniques and regulations. Representing the hospital in the community while maintaining patient confidentiality is crucial. The nurse is expected to provide service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, and co-workers, and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
