This is a full-time night position working 12-hr night shifts from 7pm-7\:30am. Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

Requirements

• Current CA RN License
• One (1) year of recent RN experience.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.
• Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
• Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years RN experience in Acute preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Preform Primary nursing care for patients undergoing Orthopedic, Vascular, GI, GU, GYN surgeries
• Assessments, medication administration (Pyxis and Omnicell), wound care, management of lines/ drains/ tubes
• Monitor patient progress, laboratory values, vital signs, symptoms, telemetry/ EKG readings
• Patient and family education
• Collaboration with physicians, PT, OT, case managers, nursing assistants, and various health care team members to achieve optimal patient care
• Documentation of patient care, medication administration, care team communication through electronic medical records EPIC system.
