About The Position

We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. Our Weekend Flex Program offers an excellent opportunity for flexibility to enjoy personal time, all while providing quality patient care on the weekends. With this schedule, you will work two 12-hour shifts every weekend and one during the week. Weekend shift options start at 7:00PM on Fridays and end at 7:30AM on Mondays. Serving in this role allows you to be with loved ones, fulfill life responsibilities, take care of children and complete anything else that may interfere with a typical weekday workload. Even more, Cleveland Clinic offers 36 hours but will pay you for 44 hours. You also gain full-time status and all our included benefits. A caregiver in this position works 2 12-hr weekend shifts and 1 12-hr shift during the weekday. Start times begin at 7:00am and end at 7:30pm. Orientation is 6 months long, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within six months of hire if performing moderate/procedural sedation

Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub and circulating functions.
- Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
