Surgical specialties include General, Gyn, Urology, Robotic, Vascular, Thoracic, ENT, Orthopedics, Total Joint, Spine, Neurosurgery, Plastics, and Podiatry. It operates as a Level II trauma center and has received accolades for clinical excellence and innovation in orthopedics, neurosciences, women’s health, heart & vascular, and cancer care. The Registered Nurse (RN) is expected to utilize the framework of the nursing process, adhering to the ANA scope of practice, to deliver professional nursing care. This involves incorporating patient-family centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and manage patient discharge. The RN provides high-quality patient care under the guidance of the Nurse Leader, following Corewell Health policies and procedures, and understands the significant impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. Furthermore, the RN collaborates with patients and their families, integrating their input and goals into the care plan, and develops effective teaching strategies for them, documenting all education and learning appropriately in the health record.
