RN Surgery Resident - ENT

ENT caregivers care for the ears, nose, throat and so much more. The ENT also has surgeons who offer both nonsurgical and surgical treatments to help patients with many conditions that affect the ears, nose and throat. And at Cleveland Clinic, we embrace a team approach. Our caregivers bring their own expert knowledge and unique skill sets to the table. We work together, comparing notes and sharing ideas, so patients can receive the best possible care. A caregiver in this position works days and on-call, 7:00am to 5:30pm or 9:00am to 7:30pm. Caregivers will have their schedule assigned after orientation. Orientation is 6 months long, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Participate in a residency core curriculum based on surgery core learning needs. Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach. Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care (acuity of need, patient preference and resource availability). Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk. Seek supervision, consultation and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently. Document in patients’ medical records.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience
