We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke. This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. We are welcoming new caregivers to collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams and contribute to nationally recognized, innovative neurological care. Join us and be part of the next wave of transformative care at Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic specializes in comprehensive surgical services for populations of all ages. As a member of this team, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. You will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare education as needed. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering education and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position will work days and on-call. Shift times are 7:30am to 4:00pm. Orientation is 6 months long, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross
  • One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within six months of hire

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
  • Perform scrub and circulating functions.
  • Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
