The Cardiothoracic Surgery Department offers virtually every type of cardiac surgery. As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering top-quality care to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
  • One year of RN experience OR completion of Cleveland Clinic’s Perioperative Residency Program.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within six months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
  • Perform scrub and circulating functions.
  • Prepare the OR, surgical instruments and equipment for use.
