Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards. Act as the clinical resource during challenging situations. What We Need: Current NYS Registered Nurse License (RN). 1+ years of experience in long-term care or skilled nursing prefered. Strong leadership, communication, and, most importantly, compassion. QualificationsMust be able to exercise initiative and judgment and be able to discern when medical judgment is required. Must possess the ability to: understand the legal implications and scope of nursing practice, relate to and work with ill, disabled elderly, emotionally upset, and at times hostile people within the facility, follow written and oral instructions; make independent decisions; accept direction and corrective comments; deal tactfully and work harmoniously with personnel, resident’s, family members, and visitors; seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices; function independently, be flexible, demonstrate personal integrity and high ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License (RN).
  • Must be able to exercise initiative and judgment and be able to discern when medical judgment is required.
