About The Position

The Nursing Supervisor provides leadership and oversight to nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. This role is responsible for coordinating clinical operations, supporting staff performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, policies, and procedures. The Nursing Supervisor serves as a clinical resource, resolves operational and staffing issues, and promotes a collaborative, patient-centered care environment. Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut is required.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory experience is highly preferred, but will train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
  • Administers direct care as necessary.
  • Gives and receives shift reports.
  • Rounds twice a shift to assure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
  • Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ condition.
  • Assists in developing comprehensive care plans
