About The Position

- The Registered Nurse Supervisor in Psychiatric care oversees nursing staff and ensures the delivery of high-quality consumer care within a behavioral health facility. This role involves managing clinical operations, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
  • Minimum of Three (3) years nursing management experience in a mental health facility
  • Minimum of One (1) year in a supervisory position required.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and guide nursing staff effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Proficient in clinical assessment and critical thinking to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer proficiency.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in patient care.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
  • Additional education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Clinical Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff during the third shift to ensure effective patient care delivery.
  • Monitor patient care plans and ensure adherence to established protocols and procedures.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including mentoring and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs and improve care processes.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.
  • Address and resolve any issues or incidents that arise during the shift, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and shift activities.
