About The Position

About the Job: Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing the RN Supervisor is responsible for managing the flow of clinic processes. Reviewing, developing and implementing policy and procedure. This role will oversee the Lead RN in provision of medical and nursing care, ensuring high quality standards. Oversee the Lead RN to coordinates services with primary care team, acts as primary liaison. Triages and assesses participants as needed. Provide leadership, a sounding board and resource to all clinic Lead RNs. Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to assure that medications and treatments are being administered as ordered. Manages flow of clinic, oversees appointment bookings, triaging and gate keeping in conjunction with primary care and staff. Ensures timely and appropriate care of participants. Oversees and ensures signing off orders, ordering medications from pharmacy and disseminating orders and instructions to appropriate personnel. Ensures implementation of physician orders. Performs general skilled nursing care to participants. Performs or supervises the administration of prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Assist in treatment, examination and testing of participants. Responds to and perform Triage of incoming telephone calls. Oversees scheduling of outside appointments for participants when necessary. Perform daily rounds of the nursing unit to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure that continuity of the resident's total regimen of care. Complete and investigate accident/incident reports and assist with abuse/neglect reporting to specific agencies as needed. Acts as a liaison between physician, resident, family and resident care team to ensure physician orders are accurately carried out and documented using the information from the resident's plan of care. Initiate and resolve follow-up and problem charting as needed. Serve on, participate in and attend various committees and meetings of the facility to which you are assigned. Assists with the coordination of staffing patterns and productive nursing hours as delegated by the Director of Nursing. Qualifications : Graduate of a school of professional nursing program required. Bachelors of Science Registered Nursing (BSRN) strongly preferred. A minimum of one year's experience in working with the frail or elderly population required. Four (4) years of nurse management experience in a hospital, nursing home or community-based setting preferred. Proven experience leading a team of professionals. Broad knowledge base of health care problems of the frail elderly. Skilled in physical assessment and triaging. Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments. Requirements
