The position involves implementing administrative goals and policies within the Nursing Services department. Daily rounds on nursing units are required to assess the condition and needs of residents, with any changes or related problems reported to the Director of Nursing. The role also includes observing nursing care to ensure compliance with physician's orders and treatment protocols. Additionally, the position involves assisting with the orientation of newly employed nurses and the clinical placement of nursing students, arranging hospital transfers for residents, and potentially rendering nursing care, administering medication, and performing treatments as needed. The individual will assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing departmental goals and objectives while exhibiting creativity and initiative in pursuing organizational and departmental growth and development.
