About The Position

The enterprise Patient Transfer Center Supervisor provides leadership, supervision, and support for staff and processes related to patient movement within UnityPoint Health and access into UnityPoint Health. This position will have daily supervisory functions of the team, evaluations for direct reports, and input on new employee selection process and disciplinary process. Why UnityPoint Health? Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required.
  • At least 5 years of relevant hospital or transfer center nursing experience required.
  • Valid RN license in the state(s) of practice, including eligibility under an NLC multistate license required.

  • 1+ year or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day departmental operations, including staffing, scheduling, workflow management, and productivity monitoring.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff; ensure adherence to established processes, customer service standards, and office procedures.
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training efforts in partnership with leadership; serve as a subject matter expert for assigned areas.
  • Identify process and system improvement opportunities; investigate issues and implement corrective actions or enhancements.
  • Manage work queues, timecards, coverage gaps, and staff performance using data-driven insights.
  • Foster effective communication and positive relationships with team members, patients, affiliates, and UnityPoint Health partners.
