About The Position

The position involves supervising nursing home staff and nursing activities, including resident care and record-keeping. Responsibilities include assigning residents to available nursing staff based on the resident's condition and the employee's skill level, monitoring resident care areas for cleanliness and readiness, and filling in for clinical support staff when staffing gaps exist. The position also requires collaboration with inter-professional colleagues to plan, implement, and evaluate care, including personal care management, medication administration, care planning, and scheduling physician visits. The role involves supporting human resources administrative processing and procedures with staff management, conducting new staff training, and ensuring compliance with nursing practices and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of the nursing practice act and standards of nursing care.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
