About The Position

Oncology Infusion Clinic - UT Southwestern Medical Center, Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center Step into a leadership role at one of the nation's most respected cancer programs. The Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in North Texas - recognized for its groundbreaking research, advanced therapies, and exceptional patient outcomes. As the Supervisor of the Oncology Infusion Clinic, you will lead a team of skilled oncology nurses and clinical staff who deliver compassionate, evidence-based care to patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments. This position plays a key role in supporting clinical operations, driving process improvement, and fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • 5 years Of general nursing to include and
  • 1 year Of supervisory experience
  • (RN) REGISTERED NURSE Licensure as Registered Nurse by Board of Nurse Examiners for State of Texas Upon Hire and
  • (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
  • Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
  • Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
  • Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
  • Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, (i.e., workshops, seminars, and staff meetings).
  • Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
  • May provide direct patient care.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
