About The Position

The Supervisor, Nursing and Patient Care Services will be responsible for professional practice (including shared governance), Magnet® designation, nursing recognition, and serving as the NDNQI coordinator for the hospital. Will work closely with the Eastern Market Director, Nursing, Professional Practice, Education, and Magnet® for Magnet® document submission and interim reporting. Collaborates with nursing leaders on patient outcomes. Partners with key stakeholders to support achieving divisional goals and objectives. Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center , a Certified Primary Stroke Center, has 145 licensed beds and features the latest healthcare technologies, serving the region with the life-saving capabilities of an ultra-modern medical center. The hospital offers a full range of medical care from emergency heart catheterization to all-inclusive obstetrics care where patients can stay in one room. The hospital also provides advanced imaging and “smart” operating rooms. Requirements

  • BSN or Higher Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License - Compact/Multi-State License OR Registered Nurse (RN) License - Single State – Virginia
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • 2 years RECENT ACUTE CARE HOSPITAL bedside nursing experience REQUIRED
  • 1 year nursing leadership experience REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • RNC preferred
  • Previous ANCC Magnet Designation Experience - strongly preferred
